Molluscum treatment

Those pesky molluscum aren't dangerous, and they will go away on their own...eventually.  Sometimes when they are spreading, itchy, or becoming bothersome to your child you just want them gone!  We offer in office treatment with cantharidin ("beetle juice").  Please note, lesions in sensitive areas such as the face, neck, and genitals should be treated only by a dermatologist.  Call to schedule an appointment with one of our providers!

Ear Piercing

We are happy to bring back medical grade ear piercing!

Dr. Gupta and Dr. Patel are trained to provide the safest piercing experience for your child using hypoallergenic earrings.  This service is available for CAHA patients only, ages 4 months and above.  Patients must be up-to-date on vaccines.  Ear piercing costs $150 and cannot be billed through insurance.  Call the office today to schedule!

Laboratory

We offer many laboratory services on site with results available in less than 45 minutes:

• Rapid strep tests
• influenza tests
• RSV tests
• Hemoglobin
• Lead
• Cholesterol
• Urinalysis
• Mononucleosis tests
• Gulcose tests

In addition, our nurses can draw blood in the office.  Our labs are sent out to Quest Diagnostics.  If your insurance provider has designated a different lab as in network we are happy to provide you with a written order for labs.  Many people also enjoy the ease of having labs done at Lurie Children's Hospital.

Vision Screening

We use the SPOT vision screener to detect nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism at the 1, 2, and 3 year old well visit.
