Mental Health

We understand that children and adolescents face unique emotional and behavioral challenges. We provide compassionate, evidence-based care for common mental health conditions such as Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), depression, and anxiety. Early identification and intervention can make a lasting difference in your child’s well-being and development.

ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder)

ADHD is one of the most common neurodevelopmental disorders in children. It can affect your child’s ability to focus, control impulses, and manage hyperactivity.

Our approach includes:

  • Referrals for comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation

  • Medication management for current patients, when appropriate, following American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) guidelines.  Please see our complete ADHD medication policy here

  • Referrals to psychiatrists for more complicated or challenging cases

We work closely with families to tailor treatment plans that support success at home, in school, and in social settings.

Depression/Anxiety

Children and teens with depression may experience persistent sadness, irritability, loss of interest in activities, changes in appetite or sleep, and difficulty concentrating.  Anxiety in children can show up as excessive worry, avoidance of activities, physical complaints (like stomachaches), or difficulty sleeping. When symptoms interfere with daily life, professional support can help.

Our treatment options include:

  • Clinical assessments and screenings.

  • Individual counseling and therapy referrals.

  • Supportive family education.

  • Medication when indicated, with careful monitoring and follow-up.

We prioritize creating a safe, supportive space for children to express their emotions and learn healthy coping skills.  Our goal is to empower children to manage anxiety with confidence and support families every step of the way.

If your child is in need of mental health services, please call our office to schedule an appointment.  If your child is expressing thoughts of suicide, self harm, or seems unsafe at home, please call immediately or go to the nearest emergency room.
